This insulated soil probe features a 3/8” diameter x 48” long high strength steel alloy shaft which resists bending and bowing for easy probing of hard ground. The 1” x 11” solid steel handle is easy to grip with both hands, even when wearing gloves.
Independently tested up to 50,000 volts following ASTM F711-89 procedures as well as being tested up to 45,000 volts (both dry and 48-hour water soaked) by a major utility company.
Use the optional slide adapter (sold separately) to convert your probe into a mini-slide hammer probe. Constructed of high strength tool steel, the slide adapter measures 9” long overall and provides a 6” long stroke.
